Electronics and Communication Engineering

Electronics and Communication Engineering, the evergreen and always blooming field of study was established in the academic year 2002-03 with an intake of 60 and the intake increased to 90 in 2004, 120 in 2005, 180 in 2012 and 240 in 2015-16 till date. We are technologically updated and follow the strict curriculum provided by JNTUH to impart a standard education to our students. There are 53 well qualified and trained faculty from various reputed universities and institutions. Currently there are 6 Professors, 10 Associate Professors, and 37 Assistant Professors in the department who nurture the students with both theoretical and practical knowledge.

The Department is accredited by NBA three times since 2008.

To impart quality technical education the department has the state of art facilities/ laboratories which are well equipped and furnished with latest editions of equipments and software as per the curriculum followed. There are latest hardware equipments like Spectrum Analyzer, Digital Storage Oscilloscopes, RF Generators, Zybo (VLSI) Boards, Electronic Explorer Kits etc. and licensed software including MATLAB, XILINX (Vivado), Code Composer Studio, Visual spice etc., which form the basis and provide the right platform to carry out research work.

The department has an Advisory Committee, which advises planning of academic matters and development of the laboratories and upgrading skills of the faculty. The faculty members try to connect with the students and facilitate guidance and help whenever required.The policy of the teaching staff is to ensure purposeful learning environment is maintained through students participation.

Apart from the regular academic work, the department always strives for excellence by bringing out innovative and creative talents of the students by way of organizing seminars, expert lectures and workshops, industry visits etc. under a very active technical association named “Electronics and Communication Technical Association – ECTA. It is responsible for both technical and non-technical events in the department.
