The Guest Lecture on “Career Guidance Plan” was hosted by the St. Martin’s Engineering College. The objective of the Career Guidance Program was to equip students with the necessary knowledge and insights to make informed career decisions, understand emerging industry trends, and explore higher education and employment opportunities. This Programme was initiated with the great support of Patron & Program Chair Prof. Dr. Ravindra K, Director, St. Martin’s Engineering College. This event was corresponded by the Chief Guest Dr. Venkat Ramana Kuruhuri, Vice-President – Human and Corporate Relations, SKYDE Solutions India Pvt Ltd., Hyderabad. During his address, sir has emphasized about Career Readiness Plan. It is a step-by-step roadmap to help you prepare for and succeed in your chosen career path. It begins with self-assessment, where you identify your strengths, skills, interests, and work values. Next, you explore potential careers that match your profile by researching industries, talking to professionals, and attending career events. You then set clear, achievable goals and build relevant skills through courses, internships, volunteering, or side projects. Developing a strong professional brand with an updated résumé, LinkedIn profile, and networking strategy is essential. Gaining real-world experience and practicing job search techniques, such as mock interviews and offer negotiation, further strengthen your readiness. Finally, staying connected with mentors and your professional network while regularly reviewing and adjusting your plan will ensure you remain adaptable and competitive in a changing job market.
