About the Society

Sri.M.Laxman Reddy, Chairman, is one of the founder members of the St .Martin's children's Educational Society. He is a leading educationalist , international veteran athelete and swimmer . He has won several Medals in national and international meets.He is also the chairman of , K.M.R Institute of Technology and Sciences.

SMEC is sponsored by St.Martin's Children's Education Society which was established in 1982 with its first step by starting a school with 42 students and a giant vision. Over the years,the society grew into four branches and a offshoot of four sister concerns. More than 10,000 students receiving the holistic education in this instituions. The success,feedback and response provided an impetus to the society to foray into the field of higher,technical education. The society aspires to provide the best of opportunities and facilities to its students. The vision has taken the shape of St.Martin's Engineering College.

St.Martin's Engineering College was established during the academic year 2002 with the approval of AICTE, New Delhi and recognised by Government of Andhra Pradesh. The institution is affiliated to J.N.T.U., Hyderabad.
